Job Description
Mercy Corps participates in the Inter-Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme (the “Scheme”) (www.schr.info/the-misconduct-disclosure-scheme). Accordingly, we request information from a job applicant’s previous employer(s) about any investigations which found that the applicant committed sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and/or sexual harassment during employment, or incidents of misconduct under investigation when the applicant left employment. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic data validation exercises including on-site visits, virtual checks and collaborate with SRs to validate data accuracy.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, and annual data validation for all assigned SRs. This includes review and validation of both electronic (MIS/DHIS II tracker) and hard copy of data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Compile respective SR data for inclusion in Data Bank after final review.
- Compilation and consolidation of their respective assigned SRs in program areas.
- Build capacity of DFSs/district teams on data quality and reporting.
- Reconcile MIS, DHIS2 and hard data with monthly reports.
- Assist data team in designing and development of tools to be used for recording, reporting, analysis purpose.
- Assist data team during capacity building and data quality audits of SRs.
- Assist data team in development of dashboards, analysis, reports, presentations using Excel, JIRA, MIS, DHIS2 and Power Point.
- Provide constructive feedback to SRs based on the validation exercises and offer training as needed to improve data quality and reporting practices.
- Contribute inputs for SRs’ management letters to Advisor Reporting and Coordination, including findings, achievements and areas for improvement and ensure that management letter effectively communicate insights and recommendations derived from data validation activities.
- Work closely with Senior Program Officer – Data Validation to ensure overall data accuracy across all assigned SRs, timely communication of issues and support to address these issues.
- Any other task assigned by the supervisor and management.

· Practices the values of Mercy Corps including respecting the dignity and well-being of participants and fellow team members

OTHERS
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and not to jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
- Ensure proper integration of GESI aspects into his/her are of work as appropriate.
- Mercy Corps as a humanitarian agency is expected to response as and when crisis and humanitarian situation engulfs. As an MC employee all staff are expected to be part of humanitarian and emergency response in addition to their regular roles and responsibilities in such situations.

- Ensure that functional administrative systems are established and maintained in the partners and project at the field level.

Reports Directly To: Senior Program Officer – Data Validation
Works Directly With: ECF, ACF, PPM, Specimen Transportation, TPT/TB-HIV & CHTB teams, Data Management team, MEL team, PR Unit
Knowledge and Experience
• Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Management, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and large data sets. Working knowledge of JIRA preferable.
• Proven 2-year experience in data validation or data management, preferably in the context of public health programs. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with Sub-Recipients, convey feedback, and contribute to management letters.
• Proven ability to identify and address data-related challenges, proposing effective solutions to enhance data quality.
